Math Club - June 17 Session Problems

Math Club's final session of the school year is next week at Thursday, June 17, 3:30pm-4:45pm. The problems we will be discussing can be downloaded here (Word) and here (PDF). The last problem in this set is a repeat from June 8's problem set, since nobody was able to solve it.

In order to receive the Zoom link to the session, please have your student work on these problems and submit their scratch work in this form: https://www.medinapta.org/form/m/144461

As with June 8's session, please keep in mind:

• Parents, do not help your students. The only exception is if your student has trouble understanding what the problem is asking. Once your student understands the question, let your student struggle through it.
• We want students to submit their scratch work, showing their thought process and ideas (even if the ideas don't end up with a final solution). 
• We do not want a formal solutions write-up.
• The problems are difficult, so we do not expect students to find the answers to all of the problems. Just show us how far you got.

These problems and sessions are targeted for 4th and 5th graders. However, anyone at Medina Elementary can join us (including younger grades and those NOT signed up for Math Club) as long as they submit their scratch work in the form.
