Runners Club - Last Two Routes!

We're nearing the end of our Runners Club spring season! Let's go out with a bang with TWO new routes to close out the year. The PURPLE and TEAL glitter routes are available today though Monday, June 14!

 

The PURPLE glitter route heads into Fairweather Nature Preserve and into Hunts Point. The route includes a scavenger hunt component! To complete this route, you will need the Scavenger Hunt PDF, which you can print out or pick up a copy from the PTA bin at school.

 

The TEAL glitter route is east of the Medina attendance area, going around and into Hidden Valley Park!

 

When you complete a route, be sure to submit your answers to receive a glittery purple or teal foot token. The completion forms are here:

PURPLE GLITTER ROUTE

Dates: May 23 to June 14

Distance: 2.5 Miles

 

For this route, you will need the Scavenger Hunt PDF.

 

 

Directions:

Park at Fairweather Park

* Solve (A) in the Nature Preserve

* Leave the Nature Preserve at either exit

* Head to the dead end on 80^th Ave, and solve (B)

* Turn left and head east on the paved walking path (there’s a tall fence on both sides)

* Solve (C)

* Leave the paved path and turn left onto Fairweather Pl

* Turn right to continue on Fairweather Pl

* Turn left onto Hunts Point Circle and solve (D)

* Turn left onto Hunts Point Ln and find (#1)

* Head towards the roundabout by either taking the road towards the Hunts Points Town Hall or by taking the stairs near the Hunts Point Tennis Courts

* Walk around the roundabout to reach 84^th Ave NE

* Find the paved walking path off of 84^th Ave NE (right after where cars exit off 520)

* Head west until the walking path becomes NE 28^th St

* Find (#2)

* Head up the hill and turn left on 80^th Ave NE

* Turn right onto NE 26^th St

* Cross 79^th Ave NE and continue along the grass to reach 78^th Ave NE

* Turn left and find (#3)

* Turn right onto NE 24^th St and right again onto the Indian Trail

* Turn left onto NE 28^th St and find (#4)

* Return to Fairweather Park via Evergreen Point Rd

TEAL GLITTER ROUTE

Dates: May 23 to June 14

Distance: 2.2 Miles 

 

 

Directions:

Park at Hidden Valley Park

Exit Hidden Valley Park onto 112th Ave and head south

Turn right onto NE 15th St and find (#1)

Turn right onto 110th Ave NE and make a quick right into Zumdieck Park

Exit Zumdieck Park on 108th Ave NE

Cross 108th Ave NE using the crosswalk

Continue on NE 16th St and find (#2)

Turn left onto 106th Ave NE and make a quick right onto NE 15th St

Turn right onto Bellevue Way

Turn right onto NE 17th St

Turn left onto 106th Pl NE and find (#3)

Turn right onto NE 18th St and find (#4)

Cross 108th Ave NE to return to the sidewalk*.

*CAREFUL: there is a speed bump, but no crosswalk!

Continue north on 108th Ave NE

Turn right onto NE 20th St

Find (#5) on 109th Ave NE and then head north

Turn right onto NE 24th St

Turn right into Hidden Valley Park towards the basketball courts and other fields

Head through the park to return to the parking lot
