To better plan fall after school programs with weather conditions and Covid-19 restrictions, we would like you to fill this survey. We will use the results to decide if we will continue offering vendor partnered after school programs and/or adjust program options in Nov/Dec. Please be aware that this survey is for interest collection purposes instead of program enrollment.

Mental Health Awareness Month

October is “Mental Health Awareness” month.
Join us in an important conversation with Medina Elementary’s Principal Dr. Laurie Harvey, Counselor Elise Geck and Child’s Mental Health Advocate Maria Barrios to learn about helpful resources and initiative in our school to support our student’s Mental Health wellness.

STEM Night

Our fall event will be held virtually on Wed, Oct. 20 at 6:30pm with the theme STEM Extravaganza! Starting next week, we will provide guidelines for suggested STEM challenges. Make sure to record and submit your STEM projects so we can stream your ideas and share them with everyone at the event. We will also have surprise guests for everyone to watch. We can’t wait to see your submissions!

Medina PTA Fantasy Football

If you registered for fantasy football, please check your email and sign up as soon as possible since the draft will be on Sept. 8 at 6 pm. DI - 2020-2021

During this special year, five Medina DI teams were formed and continued to participate in Regional and State DI Tournaments, which demonstrated strong perseverance and flexibility. Great results! Medina DI teams won two Championships in the WA State Tournament - Technical Challenge and Engineering Challenge. Four teams made it to the Top 3 in WA State and qualified for Global Finals 2021 representing WA State.

Math Club has concluded for the year! Thanks to everyone who joined us. We went over many challenging problems this year. Feel free to have your child continue working on the problems over the summer, and submit work to Coach Dave at mathclub@medinapta.org.

Math Club - June 17 Session Problems

Math Club will be holding a final Zoom session next Thursday, June 17, 3:30pm-4:45pm.

These problems and sessions are targeted for 4th and 5th graders. However, anyone at Medina Elementary can join us (including younger grades and those NOT signed up for Math Club) as long as they submit their scratch work in the form.
