Runners Club - RED ROUTE

Runners Club has kicked off, and we're introducing Medina Running Maps! Run or walk the map's route at a convenient time for you. Find the three course markers (lawn signs) along the way and answer their silly questions!

Our first Running Map - the RED ROUTE - is available now until Sunday, September 13. After your run, submit your answers online to earn a red foot token.

Thank you to all of our runners who've already completed the route! Your answers have been amazing and priceless, and we look forward to sharing some of them once this Running Map closes.

Summer Playdates

The yearbook distribute date and passed and we are no longer accepting new yearbook orders. If you didn't pick up your yearbook, please email info@medinapta.org to arrange a pickup time.

Pick Up Your Laptops and iPads!

Medina Elementary released their device distribution schedule, which takes place Tuesday, August 25 through Thursday, August 27th! You must arrive at Medina Elementary during your designated 30-minute time slot to pick up your iPads (grades K-1) and laptops (grades 2-5). Time slots are assigned by LAST NAME. Please carefully read all of the school's distribution policies and safety procedures. It is preferred that you bring your children with you.

Don't forget: everyone must wear a mask, only one adult per family is permitted, and you must bring your own pen.

Summer Book Fair

This year, Scholastic is offering an Online Book Fair, in which all online book purchases totaling $25 or more are shipped directly to you, FREE OF CHARGE. An added bonus of purchasing through our online fair is that Scholastic is giving back 25% of sales in Scholastic Dollars. These dollars will be divided between our K-5 teachers to shop with Scholastic in order to replenish their classroom libraries and be ready to go when school resumes in person.

WA State PTA Awards of Excellence

We are thrilled to announce that Washington State PTA has recognized us with three Awards of Excellence this year:

• Family & Community Engagement Award (Gold Level) - Awarded for our Family Community Service Event creating placemats for Meals on Wheels.

• PTAs Taking Significant Action (Gold Level) - Awarded for our Read-A-Thon program, which showed originality, involvement, potential, usefulness and results.

• Outstanding Website (Bronze Level) - Awarded for our PTA website: www.medinapta.org.

These awards are in addition to those we received earlier this year: awards for 100% PTA membership and membership growth. Thank you to everyone who has volunteered and contributed to making us an award-winning PTA!
