Runners Club - Yellow Route!

By now you should have received your brightly colored envelope for our Capital Campaign, running October 19-30! While we hope for 100% participation, we know that our families are experiencing changes from last year. We ask that if you are able, to please give generously as we strive to ensure that our children experience the enhancements that will help us all through this unique educational time. Meet the new FACE of community engagement at Medina! Show off your carved OR decorated pumpkin at our drive-by on Friday, October 30th from 6:30-8:00pm at Medina Elementary's main parking lot loop. Costumes welcome! Enjoy the brightly lit pumpkins, get a Halloween treat, and give a Medina Tiger hello to Principal Harvey! Let’s come together and witness the beginning of a new Medina Tigers' tradition! Pumpkin drop-off details HERE.
Note: At this FACE kick-off event, you can drop off your Capital Campaign envelopes for those who don't want to mail them.
Learning Disorders during Elementary School Years

Learning about How your child’s brain works is crucial to support their mental health well being and mind’ s development, having this knowledge will help you see your child from a different perspective.
Ignoring the signs will only hold back your child and your family.
People with neurological differences are not broken or incomplete versions of normal people, they just learn and think differently and they only need to be accepted and understood.
If you have seen some of these signs on your Child check with his/her pediatrician.

Our beloved I-Connect program has been revamped and it is now "Family and Community Engagement" (FACE). FACE is at the center of everything that PTAs accomplish. The goal of FACE is for each and every child and family in a community to feel as though they are part of Medina PTA, and for our PTA to be an active part of the community in which it resides. We are releasing our newest running map, the YELLOW ROUTE, which takes you through Vuecrest. This route will be available until Tuesday, October 27!
There are SIX course markers (lawn signs) with silly questions for you to find along the route. After your run, submit your answers online here to earn a yellow foot token.

This year all ordering of yearbooks is through LifeTouch Yearbook. You can preorder anytime here using our school code 14268921. The base yearbook is $18, with numerous upgrades to choose from. The yearbook will be delivered to students at the end of the school year.

The Reflections is a National PTA arts competition for students to use their creative talents by expressing themselves through their own original works. This year's Reflections' theme is "I Matter Because...". It calls for your entries! Everyone of pre-k–grade 5 in Medina is welcome to participate. Student Entry Form and participation rules can be found here.
Due to the COVID-19, this year's Reflections is Going Virtual! Please follow the rules of each category and submit your entry form and artwork virtually here. The submission deadline is Nov.16!

Snow Sports (AKA Ski Bus)

Thank you for your interest in Snow Sports. This year, due to Covid, we will not be able to have a ski bus but instead, we have partnered with Alpental to offer Medina exclusive ski lessons. More information is located here
We will need to have 40 students in order to have lessons at Alpental this year. In order for us to understand interest, please fill out this preliminary survey located here
