Bellevue High School Co-ed Dance Team K-8 Mini Dance Camp registration is open through November 25th. Elementary and middle school students come join our team for a day of dance skills and fun as we learn routines to perform for your family and friends.

Recess is guaranteed for elementary school students in Washington state starting this school year. That means all kids in grades K-5 will have access to the benefits of recess. Play is critical to child development, and recess is one of the best opportunities for youth to be physically active. Get the facts about the new law. If these aren't being met at your school, talk to your child's teacher or principal. Learn more and help spread the word: recessforwa.org

I-Connect Evening Event for Families from
Clyde Hill, Enatai, Medina, and Woodridge Elementary whose students will be attending Chinook next year.

If you are curious what it is like being a student at Chinook Middle School, please join the next    I-Connect meeting, “Exit Interview: Chinook 8^th Graders Tell All,” where families will have the opportunity to hear from 8^th grade middle school experts who are about to head off to high school.

This will be an evening event on Monday, June 10, 6:15-7.45pm at Chinook Middle School.

As the current class of 8^th graders wraps up their last weeks of middle school and gets ready to head off to high school, we will ask our 8^th grade panel to give us the unvarnished truth.

-            How does the school schedule work, and how do I know where to go for each period?

-            Is there a lot of homework, and how do I manage my time?

-            What is the best way for middle schoolers to make new friends?

-            What types of clubs and sports are there to participate in during middle school?

-            What resources are there for parents at Chinook?

We will ask these questions and more, and the 8^th graders will answer questions from the audience.

Arrive early as we will begin at 6.15pm sharp. No drop-offs allowed; students must be accompanied by an adult. Parents/guardians and students are welcome and encouraged to attend.
