What is the Capital Campaign and how does it work? 

Capital Campaign is our primary fundraiser for the 2020-2021 school year.

 

Be on the lookout for a brightly colored envelope in the mail from Medina PTA, which includes a donation form and pre-addressed stamped envelope. Return the donation form and win a prize for each of your Medina Elementary students! We hope to see 100% participation - meaning every family at Medina sends their envelope back to us, whether the envelope contains a donation or not! 

 

Why do we have a Capital Campaign?

There is a gap between government funding and the costs of essential classroom support and educational programs. Our Capital Campaign brings in funds to help fill this gap! Please view our fundraising page here to see what we pay for.

What if I never received or can't find the brightly colored envelope or donation form?

If you're missing the donation form, you can print a new one here.

 

If you're missing the pre-addressed envelope, just use any envelope and mail it to: Medina PTA, P.O. Box 247, Medina, WA 98039.

 

Where do I turn in our envelope and donation form?

 

Please mail your donation form back to us. You can use the pre-addressed stamped envelope (or your own envelope!).

 

Alternatively, you can drop your envelope off at our Pumpkin Drive-by on Friday, October 30 from 6:30-8pm.

 

What if I already donated this school year?

 

Thank you for your contribution! We will combine the amount you already donated with your Capital Campaign donations on our Thank You List.

 

Why do we have a Capital Campaign instead of a different fundraiser?

 

A Capital Campaign is extremely cost-friendly and is an easy fundraising model with high returns. It is also a chance for the entire Medina Elementary community to be involved.

 

Why only two weeks?

 

The two week focus is to keep everyone engaged and to GET IT DONE! You are, of course, welcome to donate at other times of the year, but it works best for educational planning if you can make your contribution now.

 

Monthly payment installations are an option as well. Just check the appropriate box on the donation form. You will need to provide your credit card information to take advantage of this option.

 

What is the overall goal?

 

Our goal is 100% participation - we want to hear from everyone in the Medina Elementary community, even if your returned envelope does not include a contribution.

 

From a monetary prospective, the goal is to raise $200,000, which is about half of the PTA's projected expenses for the year. This comes to approximately $500 per student (not per family). We realize that some families are in a position to donate less and some more. Please donate what you can.
