Runners Club - BLUE ROUTE Released!

11/9/2020 EDITED TO ADD: Clyde Hill is hilly (no surprises there!!). You should reserve ample time to complete this route, and be prepared to take breaks. There are two long hills up 16th/17th St and 14th St, plus two short hills to reach markers (#4) and (#7). More suggestions:
- Treat this route as a hike- slow and steady to the top, and then ENJOY THE VIEW!
- Wear good shoes
- Bring water
- DO NOT RUN DOWN THE HILLS!! It is safer, better exercise, and better for your joints/muscles if you run UP the hills and walk down the hills for recovery.
- If your child needs to complete this route in two separate attempts, THAT IS FINE!!
Runners Club is releasing the BLUE ROUTE, which takes us through the southwest portion of Clyde Hill. The route will stay open through Thanksgiving weekend for those who need a post-turkey walk! When you complete the BLUE ROUTE, submit your answers here:
Looking ahead ... We will also release the PURPLE ROUTE before Thanksgiving, so you have more options for Thanksgiving break!
BLUE ROUTE
Dates: November 8 - December 1
Distance: 2.5 miles
Directions:
Park on NE 12th St Street, on either side of 84th Ave
Head north on 86th Ave
Turn left onto NE 14th St and look for (#1) and (#2)
Turn left onto NE 15th St
On 85th Ave NE, find (#3) before heading north
Curve right onto NE 17th St
Head up the hill on the NE 17th Pl cul-de-sac to find (#4)
Return to NE 17th St and fine (#5)
Continue up the hill on NE 16th St
Turn left onto 90th Ave and fine (#6)
Complete the loop and go back down the hill
Head south on 88th Ave NE
Go up the hill on NE 15th Pl cul-de-sac to find (#7)
Return to 88th Ave NE
Turn left onto NE 14th St
Cross 92nd Ave using the crosswalk
Head south on 92nd Ave
Turn left onto NE 13th St and find (#8)
Return to 92nd Ave and use the crosswalk to cross 92nd Ave
Continue on NE 13th St and find (#9)
Turn left on 86th Ave
