157 girls from 34 schools participated in Queen's Quest Chess Tournament at Medina Elementary, including 33 of our own Medina Tigers. The tournament is organized and run by Medina parents. It takes a village to run this tournament and many parents worked tirelessly during the tournament.

We had a special guest Megan Lee at the tournament. Megan Lee is former National Girls Youth Champion and current member of Seattle Sluggers, and has played against/with some of the worlds best! Megan gave an inspirational speech to the girls and played chess with them briefly.

Chess4Girls foundation by Shifa Somji also sponsored Amazon gift cards to the top finishers of overall sections.
