PTA General Assembly Meeting

Join us at our first General Assembly Meeting and Welcome Back Coffee on Tuesday, 9/5, at 8:10 a.m. in the school cafeteria right after the morning drop-off.

School Picture Day is Friday September 15, 2017. Pre-orders for picture packages may be placed directly through  MyLifetouch website.

2017-18 School Supplies

School supply lists can be found on the school website. You can get a hard copy of the school supply list or access a direct link to Amazon to purchase the supplies. Furthermore, if you buy your supplies via our Amazon Smile page, 0.5% of your purchase will go to our school.

Building Community for a Brighter Future!



DANCE-A-THON: Friday, 10/20/17.

We kicked off our fall fundraiser this week at the annual Taking Care of Business Day. We had tons of kids and parents visit our booth for face painting and to drum up excitement! Thank you to everyone who showed up to check us out and to the parents who helped with the booth!

In addition to our goal of raising $50,000, BUILDING COMMUNITY is the other prime focus of this event . Parent participation is a key factor in building community and the overall success of this event. If you are interesting in helping out in any capacity or have ideas on how you might help, please reach out to We’ll have roles both big and small that can fit your schedule. Donations are now being accepted on the TCOB page. (Feel free to pass the link on to family and friends.) Our goal is $100 per student, but any amount is welcome and APPRECIATED.

Family Ice Cream Social

It's "make your own sundae"... ! Join us on Thursday, 9/7, from 6:30 to 7:30 pm at Medina Elementary for the Family Ice Cream Social. Come reconnect with old friends and also make new ones. It's a great way for kids to spend time with family and friends. We look forward to seeing you there! We would be grateful for any donations of nut-free toppings. We will have a collection box near the office one week prior to the event.

PTA Membership

Join the Medina PTA. Membership dues are $14 or $26 for families AND you’ll receive a free directory with each membership. Our goal is to have 100% participation through our parent community!

PTA Volunteering

We have key PTA volunteer roles that need to be filled so that we can continue to offer our great programs and events. Check out our Medina PTA Volunteer Opportunities webpage for more information and to access the volunteer form.

Taking Care Of Business

Back to school means Taking Care of Business (TCOB)! Use the QR Reader on your mobile device and scan here to purchase your PTA Membership, sign up for Back to School brunches, and preorder yearbooks, or you can go to the TCOB page on the PTA website or you can access as a PDF file, which you can print out and turn in to the school office.

Yearbook Class Photographers & Contributors 

Calling all photographers! There are a lot of events to start the school year so we would like to encourage early sign-ups for yearbook classroom photographers. Each class needs 1-2 photographers to take photos for the yearbook. Capture fun moments in the classroom and at recess and special events. Contributors are also welcome to submit photos of students, staff, and teachers in everyday moments and during activities throughout the school year. More info and detailed descriptions are available on the yearbook page. Contact Linda Corets, Yearbook Chair, at to sign up. Please include your child’s grade and teacher in the email.  

Meet Other Parents


Medina Elementary has a wonderful tradition of having grade level brunches at the beginning of the school year. The brunches provide parents with an opportunity to reconnect after the summer break and also for new and existing parents to connect in an informal setting. These events are a great way to build community. These events are FREE, but we do ask that you RSVP. You will get the Host’s address when you RSVP. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Engage in After School Activities

Wondering what to do on Wednesdays after school? Chess Club starts September 27th. Don't miss this opportunity to give your child the gift of chess scholarship-right at school. We welcome students from all grades and of all experience levels. The 2017-18 season has 28 sessions and runs from September to May.

REGISTRATION OPENS ONLINE at on Wednesday, September 6th. You can drop off a registration form and check at the school office starting the 6th if you do not want to register online. Forms are on the PTA website and in the office. Space for the Kindergarten class is limited and is first come, first served.?? Please check Chess Club website at for more information.

Please save September 20th for Family Chess Night (6-7:30pm) at Medina Elementary.
