Presidents' Message

Hello Medina Community!

What a wonderful week and Auction we had!! Truly, we had so many of you step-up and support the school, and we celebrate you and this moment of coming together! Thank you, thank you for showing up! Once again, thank you to the absolutely wonderful auction chair and committee this year. It was not an easy task to transition the auction online and this group did it flawlessly! Bravo!
We have two important items this week:
  • Our Raise the Paddle campaign remains OPEN. Your donations will be matched until this Friday night, May 22 at 11:45pm.
  • Our virtual PTA General Assembly meeting is this Friday, May 22 at 12 noon.
See below for more details on both of these important items.
We hope you are staying healthy and safe and enjoy the spring and incoming summer weather. We miss you and so look forward to time in-person down the road.
Cheers Medina,
Yan and Marti

Our Raise the Paddle and sign-ups for Moms Night Out and Dad’s Night Out are still open at our auction website. Please read more below about our Raise the Paddle matching challenge!

Helping Hands

Bellevue Schools Foundation

Thank you from the very bottom of my heart for all those that have contributed so selflessly during this COVID-19 crisis.  Your donations have made it possible for us to divert funding to the most at-risk families in the area, providing some desperately needed food security and childcare in this time of massive uncertainty.
  • $40,000 went directly to purchasing Safeway vouchers, providing food to 3500 families
  • $10,000 went directly to the District to support staff caring for children of first responders & health care workers
YOUR generosity has made it possible for the BSF to be nimble, responsive and supportive to those in crisis in our community.  THANK YOU!
If you haven't donated yet, there are still many opportunities to make a huge difference.  As you know, the Spring for Schools luncheon is not happening the way we anticipated this year. We are still seeking donations to help fully fund our current emergency  programs, as well as supporting initiatives for the 2020/2021 school year.
To see your funding in action, check out this video: Bellevue Schools Foundation: Safeguarding The Mental Health of Our Students
Please visit the Bellevue Schools Foundation website for more information!
If you or your family is experiencing challenges related to our current economic/health environment, the BSF is here to help.  Please feel free to reach out to me, or to the BSF directly so we can get you the support you need!
In wellness,
Allison Frey, BSF Ambassador to Medina, BSF Trustee
